Streetwear and cycling enthusiasts, take note: Karmaloop is giving away a one-of-a-kind Staple Design x Strada Customs bicycle for free dollars.
Inspired by Staple’s signature Pigeon logo design, the limited-edition Trackster bicycle features high-end components starting with a chromaly steel base paired with hand-painted Staple detail throughout. Strada Customs owner Cory Ng explained the collaboration was a “natural” process between two like-minded companies.
“It just made sense organically to get together with Staple,” said Ng. “I was a fan myself growing up with the brand. We’re a very New York-based brand and what other company to work with other than the New York icon of a Pigeon?”
While the pigeon is synonymous with metropolitan areas, New York City in particular, the exclusive Trackster bicycle partnership promises to allow this Pigeon the freedom to cruise asphalt streets and the traffic below the skies.
Says Jeff Staple, founder of the iconic streetwear brand, “I wanted to take the bird we are so well-known for – our icon, our logo – and abstract it. There’s a weird thing about having the city absorb you while riding a bike. You’re out there in the elements and you’re feeling, hearing and smelling everything. You’re really part of the city fabric when you’re out on a bike.”
The contest on Karmaloop.com starts this coming Monday, July 1, with a showcase page featuring Staple Design product. One of the products will contain a “Golden Pigeon” ticket and whoever receives the item will also be gifted the one-of-a-kind bicycle.
